Support SR6- introduced by Senator Curt Thompson of the 5th-

Senate Resolution 6, which, if approved, would place a constitutional amendment seeking to legalize marijuana on the electoral ballot.
SR6 would regulate the commercial cultivation, processing, and retail of marijuana to adults over the age of 21

To amend Chapter 5 of Title 40 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to 2 drivers’ licenses, so as to provide that a person’s conviction of the offense of simple 3 possession of marijuana shall not result in the suspension of such person’s driver’s license; 4 to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

Support SB7 introduced by Senator Curt Thompson of the 5th-

Senate bill 7  permits qualified patients and/or their caregivers to possess (up to two ounces) or cultivate (up to eight plants) cannabis for therapeutic purposes. It also seeks to allow for the licensed production and distribution of cannabis and cannabinoid-specific preparations to registered patients. Qualifying conditions included under this measure include cancer, HIV, Crohn’s disease, hepatitis C, seizures, and chronic pain, among others.
